Van The Man

Van The Man had its roots in the highly successful Sydney wine bar circuit of the 1970s. Hogan & The Becketts, the backbone of Van The Man, played all the hits through the 80s and 90s, with Van Morrison always among the favourites.

Formed in 1999, Van The Man started with a bang, invited to perform at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Richard Jinman of The Age put it simply: "Van the Man do the business. Hogan has Van's jazzy vocal phrasing and gruff Irish burr down pat. Hit or miss? Absolute HIT!"

Since then they've played State of Origin fixtures and Bledisloe Cup finals, sold out The Basement in Sydney, and were flown to the US to perform at the prestigious Chicago Yacht Club after Van Morrison himself was unavailable. Other stages include Lizotte's, The Brass Monkey Cronulla, The Camelot Lounge Marrickville and the Hydro Majestic Hotel.

Legendary music critic Glenn A. Baker said: "My soul was truly warmed by the more than creditable renditions of Van Morrison's music. Van the Man had all the right ingredients. I'm not the first observer to note that these guys have nailed it."

With exclusive appearances for the Packer family at Ellerston, seven acclaimed tours of New Zealand and a triumphant performance at Norway's Music Festival in Kjøllefjord, Van The Man is a must-see for Van Morrison fans young and old.

Doors 6:00pm, dinner guests please arrive by 7:30pm. The show runs from 8:30pm.
